Male embryo Vulnerable Premature Birth

Male fetus who had placental infection, was born prematurely are more vulnerable than female fetuses.

Dr. Robert L. Goldenberg from Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA, found an association between placental tissue infection, inflammation, and preterm birth a baby boy, through his research on the placenta and umbilical cord in 446 infants born at 23-32 weeks of gestation.

From the placenta which tested positive for infection, 63.4% is the placenta of the baby boys and 51.8% are female baby’s placenta.

In his research report in the American Journal of Obstetric and Gynecology, Goldberg’s findings are expected to be one answer to the high birth rate baby boy prematurely and the death of a baby boy who was born prematurel.
